Elon Musk Is Erwin Smith from Attack on Titan
I recently finished watching 'Attack on Titan,' a Japanese manga series where humanity resides within enormous walled cities to protect themselves from Titans, gigantic humanoid creatures who devour humans seemingly without reason. The story follows Eren Yeager, his adoptive sister Mikasa Ackerman, and their friend Armin Arlert as they join the military to fight against the Titans. As the story progresses, the mysteries surrounding the Titans, the history of humanity, and the true nature of the world they live in are gradually unveiled.
While watching the character Commander Erwin, who leads the scout corps to uncover the mysteries of the Titans, I couldn't help but notice the parallels between his motives and those of a real-life figure, Elon Musk. Just as Erwin sought answers beyond the walls of their enclosed society, Elon is driven by a curiosity about the unknown, particularly regarding the existence of consciousness beyond our solar system.
Consider this analogy: Our knowledge of other planets in our solar system and beyond is limited, much like the restricted awareness within the walled city of Wall Maria on Earth. Similarly, just as Eldians possess Titan powers, humans possess consciousness, a unique power among Earth's creatures. Elon, like Erwin, shares a relentless pursuit of understanding and exploration.
Perhaps Elon's vision includes creating a Starfleet Academy, analogous to our Survey Corps in 'Attack on Titan,' enabling humanity to transcend the confines of Earth (Wall Maria) and become a spacefaring civilization.
